The Finance Act 2020, which contains the legislative changes impacting IR35 in the private sector effective from 6 April 2021, receives Royal Assent and becomes law Contractors Outside IR35. Many of our biggest companies are getting rid of their contractors outside IR35. They are only keeping those contractors who agree to take an inside IR35 contract. That’s even if the contractors’ contracts and working practices take them outside IR35. The Government is to look into extending off-payroll tax rules to contractors in the private sector.
